Directed by Tolu Itegboje, Awon Boyz is a close look at the lives of eight men living and hustling on the streets of Lagos, Nigeria. They share their dreams and ambitions through stories that humanise the hardship and experiences that led them to live on the streets of Lagos.

After conducting several interviews across different localities in the city of Lagos, Tolu reached out for a story editor to organise and structure the conversations along similar themes, storylines, and to carve out a story arch to tie the documentary together.

Awon Boys screened in Lagos in 2019, and was streamed on Netflix from 2021.
